Mikaela Shiffrin became the most decorated women’s alpine skier on Tuesday, Jan. 24 when she won her 83rd World Cup race. She broke Lindsey Vonn’s record of 82 wins set in 2019.
Shiffrin continued her winning streak on Wednesday, Jan. 25, when she won a giant slalom race in Italy, bringing her total World Cup wins to 84.
Wednesday’s victory moved her within two wins of the overall record, held by Ingemar Stenmark.
