Saturday – Sunday, Dec. 3 – 4 — BROWNSVILLE — Plans are all set for a community Christmas celebration on the weekend of Dec. 3 and 4 and a beautiful Christmas Eve candle light service on Dec. 24.
Starting on Saturday, Dec. 3 , there will be the much-anticipated Brownsville Community Church Christmas bazaar with crafts and bake sale (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) and luncheon (11 a.m. -1 p.m.) at Town Hall.
Come down to the corner of Rte. 44 & Brownsville-Hartland Road for the annual community tree lighting (4 p.m.). And, you’ll usually find festive, light refreshments and a glowing firepit to warm you inside and out when you get there.
The day will wrap up with Christmas music and carols (5:30 p.m.) at the Brownsville Community Church (66 Brownsville-Hartland Road). All are invited to come sing with joy the traditional melodies of this special season.
On Sunday, Dec. 4, there will be two performances by community youth in costume of the live nativity in the new pavilion (5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.). There will also be a few four-legged visitors as well.
On Saturday, Dec. 24 the Brownsville Community Church will hold its Christmas Eve candlelight service. The Church will be adorned with an abundance of poinsettias shared by members of the congregation for all to enjoy at this special service.
