Killington Police Dept. grows to three

The Killington Police Department announced the appointment of Officer Christopher Roy, in a news release Oct. 14. Roy was hired last month but his first day on the job was Saturday, Oct. 8.

Officer Roy began his career in 2008, with the Bennington County sheriffs department, where he worked as a deputy performing patrol duties such as motor vehicle enforcement, DUI patrols, civil service and citizen assist calls. In 2012 Officer Roy transitioned to the Vermont Drug Task Force, where he worked as a detective sergeant investigating drug- and gun-related crimes.
