Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9 a.m. — BROWNSVILLE — Get ready for the Lucy Mac 5K9 on Saturday, Oct. 15 at Ascutney Outdoors. Runners and walkers can participate solo, or as a team, and enjoy the thrilling and beautiful trails of Ascutney Mountain — all in support of the animals at Lucy Mackenzie Humane Society. As always, dogs are welcome to join in on the fun.
Participants will be treated to a scenic Vermont adventure as they race along handbuilt trails located on the western base of Ascutney Mountain. The 5K trail will lead participants across fields, over streams and through the woods before they finish by winding down the ski slopes of the mountain. Fall foliage will be underway come race day and views from the course are sure to be spectacular. For those not quite up to the full 5K trail, we’re also offering a fantastic 1-mile course which is just as much fun.
The registration fee is $25 for the 5K trail and $15 for the 1-mile trail. Participants can purchase an official 5K9 2022 race t-shirt for an additional $20. All event proceeds will go toward the care of the animals at Lucy Mackenzie. Check-in and registration will be 9-10 a.m. at the Ascutney Outdoors Center located at 449 Ski Tow Road, Brownsville.
