Sunday, July 17 — PUTNEY — Twilight Music continues its 19th Twilight On The Tavern Lawn series of folk, world beat, zydeco, Celtic, rock, and bluegrass summer concerts on Sunday, July 17 with Native Americana singer/songwriter/guitarist Cary Morin, accompanied by Celeste Di Iorio. Co-presented with Next Stage Arts Project, the four-concert series continues on Sunday, July 31 with The Stockwell Brothers.
All concerts begin at 6 p.m. in downtown Putney on the Putney Tavern lawn (bring a lawn chair or blanket) or at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in case of rain.

With deft fingerstyle guitar and vocals that alternately convey melodic elation and gritty world-weariness, Cary Morin crafts an inimitable acoustic roots-infused style influenced by Americana, bluegrass, folk, blues, and rock music. A tribute to the American South, Cary’s seventh solo album “Dockside Saints” merges his celebrated style of Native Americana with the spirit and sounds of Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco music.
A Crow tribal member with Assiniboine Sioux and Black heritage, Cary Morin was born in Billings, Montana, and currently lives in northern Colorado.
He has performed at renowned venues around the world, including the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center, and is the recipient of numerous awards, from NPR Music’s Best Live Sessions of 2020 to the 2017 and 2019 Indigenous Music Award for Best Blues CD.
He has shared the stage with music legends such as Los Lobos, Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Osborne, Arlo Guthrie, Tony Trishka, and the Subdudes.
