New Vermont Comedy Festival to take place in Bridgewater, Woodstock this winter

Festival is accepting comedic submissions for review Submissions are now open for the Vermont Comedy Festival Dec. 1-4, 2022. This four-day event will feature some of the country’s top comedians while showcasing Vermont products, vacation housing, restaurants and performance venues. With support from the Woolen Mill Comedy Club (Vermont’s longest running comedy club) and Pentangle Arts this festival will attract some of the country’s top talent to perform in the region.

The inaugural 2022 Vermont Comedy Festival will also be doubling as the kick off for the popular Wassail parade in historic Woodstock.

The festival aims to showcase Central Vermont as the background for an exciting and hilarious experience. Its main programming will be spread across Woodstock and Bridgewater, but organizers hope to add events in some of the surrounding towns as well.

The festival is being brought to life by Collen Doyle and Matt Vita who are on the board of directors of The Woolen Mill Comedy Club in Bridgewater, which offers weekly comedy programming every Saturday night at 8 p.m.

Early bird submissions are now open and are only $20 for stand-up or musical comedy submissions. The fee will increase to $30 on Aug. 1, when the special guest headliners are announced. Those acts are sure to sell out quickly. For more information about submission visit vermontcomedyfestival.com.
