Killington’s Play Forever fund grants a $40,000 donation, employees participate in programming
On Tuesday, April 26, Killington Resort announced its partnership with Come Alive Outside through a $40,000 donation and employee participation in their programs.
“We are beyond thrilled that Killington has joined Come Alive Outside as a presenting sponsor of Come Alive Outside’s Outdoor Passport Mobile application. The Play Forever Fund and Come Alive Outside have much synergy around ensuring that children and adults have the access and opportunity to experience the feel-good benefits of nature now and in the future,” said Arwen Turner, executive director of Come Alive Outside. “We can’t wait to share this new program model with the community and get even more folks living their best outdoorsy lives where they live, work, and play.”
“We are excited to support Come Alive Outside through our continued commitment to support our community,” said Amy Laramie, director of communications at Killington Resort. “We believe all people benefit from being in the outdoors, and through this partnership we are providing that opportunity to people in Rutland County and beyond.”
Killington Resort has helped to make the Outdoor Passport Mobile Application dream a reality.
Come Alive Outside’s Outdoor Passport program is a hyper-local program that gives adults and children added incentive to be active and take advantage of access to nearby nature. Participants earn points and win prizes for visiting local parks, farmers markets, and community events to complete tasks. The new Outdoor Passport program model will remain deeply local and rely on the power of strong partnerships, which make the Outdoor Passport program unique and effective.
