Friday, April 15, at 5 p.m.—RUTLAND—The Chaffee Art Center invites the community to the opening of the photography exhibit & amateur photo contest, Images of our World. There is no charge for admittance, but a donation would be greatly appreciated.
The exhibit will feature many talented photographers showcasing amateurs in the annual photo contest with entries from all ages.
People’s Choice Awards will be given to the following categories: youth (12 and under), teen (13-18), adult (18+). Visitors can vote from April 15 to May 27.
Rebekkah Ziel will also have a solo gallery, and others will have feature walls including Matt Lerman, Denise Letendre, and Jon Olender. Abstract artist Mary Fran Lloyd will also present a feature wall of her work. Chaffee artist members will have work on display and for sale throughout the mansion.
The Chaffee is located in the 1890s historic mansion at 16 South Main St. in Rutland and is open Wednesday-Friday 12-4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Private appointments available by request. For more information visit: chaffeeartcenter.org.
