Mission Farm’s annual coat drive

Nov. 11-14 — KILLINGTON — This year Mission Farm is asking the greater Killington community to support our local veterans and BROC Community Action (BROC). Last year, Christina Morgan, executive director of the Dodge House, was overwhelmed by the generosity of the donations and expressed her sincere thanks to Mission Farm and the greater Killington community. She says this year new boots and new socks are needed for the veterans served by the Dodge House Veteran’s Assistance Office in Rutland County. New and clean, gently used coats/outerwear will be donated to the Rutland office of BROC Community Action’s Warming Drive. BROC’s mission is “providing hope, opportunity and a path forward out of crisis or poverty, so our neighbors and communities thrive.” They already have a list of those in need, waiting for the outerwear. The outerwear we collect will help members of our greater community stay warm this winter.

The coat drive is Nov.11-14, with collection bins in the church vestibule.
