Oct. 16-17 — POULTNEY — Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill (SVA) in Poultney looks forward to welcoming dance enthusiasts safely back to the art center for a powerful and commanding modern dance performance this October. SVA proudly presents “Twelve Dancers (Works-in Progress),” a project of Vital Spark North. The art center, located at 145 East Main St. in Poultney, will host the first performance on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. and also have a Sunday matinee on Oct. 17 at 4 p.m.
The “Twelve Dancers” performance will include a short dance film called “Dance Thread.” As well as dance routines entitled “Changing Currents” (a trio) and “Islands of Awareness” (a choreographic collaboration music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and recordings from Workstatt by the Pawlet Performance Project. The full recital is directed by SVA Executive Director Erika Schmidt. Dance performers include Mary Barron, Val Giesey, Alycia Hollister, Kris Jacoby, Candy Jones, Stephanie Jones, Zoe Marr, Nicole Pelaggi Ullman, Erika Schmidt, Maya Zelkin and Kristen Whitman.

Please note that the performances will take place on the upper floor of the art center which is not handicapped-accessible. Masks will be required for those unvaccinated. Masks will be optional for the vaccinated. Dancers will be masked.
