FAIR HAVEN — Fair Haven Concerned (FHC) thanks you for all your support during the past few weeks of fundraising efforts. As many of you might know, the number of neighbors needing help is growing rapidly and Fair Haven Concerned is doing all that they can to assist them. However, the need for volunteers is still real.
Over the past several months they tried to address the increase in food insecurity by keeping the food shelf open longer hours and creating a much larger space for the food shelf. Moving the food increased accessibility for neighbors. Expanding hours has truly been beneficial for many, but also requires an increase in the number of volunteers needed. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help, please contact Tracy Yendell, executive director, at 802-265-3666.
In other news, Fair Haven Concerned recently applied for and received a grant from Vermont Food Bank. The program will provide meal kits to families with all the necessary items to make a complete meal complete with a healthy recipe. The hope is to provide these kits twice a month to nearly 30 families.
Once again, there is a rise in Covid-19 cases, so until further notice,FHC asks clients and visitors to please wear a mask indoors until further notice.
