Sunday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN —For nearly four decades, Fair Haven Concerned has been offering a hand up to our neighbors in need here in Fair Haven and our surrounding communities. The organization is so grateful to everyone who continues to support the work, including the towns of Fair Haven, Benson, and West Haven.
As we approach another heating season, we have seen a rise in the numbers of friends and neighbors seeking help with meeting the challenges of life in these uncertain times. In an effort to help meet those needs, the board of directors will be sponsoring the fall festival. We want to thank all of our very generous supporters for their support in aiding with this event. We have seen an outpouring of support from local businesses, artists, and individuals who have donated items for a silent auction or sponsored this event with their generous cash donations. We would not be able to continue our work without the support of our benefactors and friends. You are truly touching the lives of many in our local communities.
Tickets for the fall festival are going quickly. Special thanks to our hosts at Kingston Place in Benson. This is a new venue for us, and we are excited to be offering a fall event. The date is Sunday, Sept. 26 from 4-7 p.m. The Aaron Audet Band will be entertaining us so put on your dancing shoes. In addition to the silent auction, we will be sponsoring a 50/50 raffle. The menu includes local fall favorites, chicken and biscuits and apple crisp from the Wheel Inn. The cost per person is $30. Tickets may be purchased at Fair Haven Concerned located at 49 Main St., the Wheel Inn in Benson, and the People’s United Bank in Fair Haven.
