Celebrating the life of Jerry Jagoda, 65

Gerald “Jerry” Jagoda died on Oct. 1, 2019 at his home in Stockbridge after losing his battle with kidney disease. His loving and humorous spirit is carried on by his wife of 42 years, Linda; their four children Shane, Chenoa, Tivon, and Devin; as well as their grandchildren Kinsley, Maddox, and Maverick and his sister Lorraine. He will be missed by all the people with whom he became friends, and then family, during his 65 years.

Jerry Jagoda

Jerry Jagoda was born Sept. 6, 1954 in Middlefield, Connecticut, to Frank and Sadie Jagoda. He then moved to Vermont with his wife and family in 1983. He gained employment at the Killington Resort, remaining there for 34 years in condo maintenance. During those 34 years, if you were to ask him, “How’s work going?” You would be sure to get the reply, “Oh, it sucks. Hate every second.” That’s because he would have rather been golfing, skiing or fishing.

Jagoda was cremated as his wish was to be remembered as we all knew him: bearded, loving, funny, sarcastic, a great friend and father.

Join in for a celebration of his life Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, starting 12 p.m. at the Stockbridge School then moving to the river for readings and prayers before returning to the school for stories and food.

In lieu of flowers, one can support Jerry’s favorite organization: Paralyzed Veterans of America, National Processing Center. P.O. Box 758593, Topeka, KS 66675-8593.
