Thursday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. —FAIR HAVEN — Blue Jay Way will be back in Fair Haven for the Concerts in the Park series on Thursday, Aug.12. The concert starts promptly at 7 p.m. Blue Jay Way has made several visits to our park playing to large and enthusiastic crowds. Band member Brad Morgan, reports that the band is very excited to be performing for a live audience once again.
The band began in 1974 when two Castleton State College freshmen got together to play. The band has now been together for five decades. This group of talented musicians includes guitar, saxophone, keyboard and drums describe themselves as a rock ‘n’ roll band.
As always, sodas, water, hot dogs, popcorn, and chips are available for purchase. The 50/50 raffle is always popular with our audience. Proceeds from this raffle help us fund a music scholarship for a graduating senior from either Fair Haven or Poultney High School as well as allowing us to donate to Dodge House. Dodge House is in Rutland and helps homeless veterans. With only one concert left on Thursday, Aug. 19, the concert committee is looking forward to planning for the 2022 summer series. Our hope is that we will be able to offer 10 concerts and have an indoor venue in case of inclement weather next summer.
The concert committee once again thanks all those who so generously support our efforts to bring these concerts to Fair Haven.
