Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.—KILLINGTON—Rutland Youth Theatre’s (RYT) traveling summer production of “Macbeth” has enabled local student thespians to get back in front of an audience in a safe, outdoor manner this summer. As is tradition, the performances of Shakespeare’s tragedy are free and open to the public, and have been hosted throughout Rutland County since late June. On Saturday, July 31, the cast and crew were hosted by Bob Underhill in the hamlet of Chippenhook for an afternoon show. The weather was surprisingly cooperative with blue skies and mild temps that allowed the student actors to really shine.
And the tour isn’t over yet! RYT will celebrate its fifth performance on the lawn of Sherburne Memorial Library (2998 River Road in Killington) on Friday at 7 p.m. before wrapping up Aug. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Godnick Adult Center (1 Deer St. in Rutland).
