Full Job Description:  Front Office Manager & Arts, Digital Editor

The Mountain Times is looking for a full-time Front Office Manager & Arts, Digital Editor to assistant to the publishers and the team at the Mountain Times newspaper. Candidate must be detail oriented and have a high standard for perfection and organization. Candidate must be positive and professional with the team and clients, and be able to work quickly and accurately on deadline. Positive can-do spirit a must, as new tasks will arise.

Job includes, but is not limited to:

Office Manager: Opening/closing the office Monday-Friday (9-5), greeting walk-ins, answering phones, scheduling ads, assisting the ad team with fulfillment, processing accounts receivable and billing, managing subscriptions and mailings.

Art, Digital Editor: Formatting events for the calendar and arts/entertainment section, proactively seeking out events/photos to include throughout Rutland and Windsor County, identifying features (to write or assign), proof reading prior to all publications, post stories to website and social media, create e-newsletters, fulfill listings.

REQUIRED: Accurate. Organized. Trustworthy. Efficient. Problem solver. Positive. Professional. Strong customer service skills. Good listener with the ability to take direction and learn quickly. “Can-do” willingness to help in a variety of departments and tasks. Ability to work efficiently independently and as a team. Strong computer stills — fast/accurate typing, quick learner, ability to navigate digital programs quickly.

Will train candidates with strong potential.

Job Type: Full-time at office, 9-5, Monday-Friday

Pay: $30,000.00 – $35,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
