Saturday, April 3 at 2 p.m.—POULTNEY—The Easter Bunny will be making an appearance at Green Mountain College Campus on Saturday, April 3 from 2-4 p.m. hosted by Revive Church and area businesses and organizations. He will be handing out clues for a driveable Easter egg scavenger hunt. Participants will be asked to locate Easter eggs that will be hanging in windows in the Poultney area. Surprise treats along the route will make the hunt especially interesting for the children hoping for some Easter goodies.
“This is a community wide effort sponsored by Revive Church with collaboration from many local businesses to bring some joy to a sometimes dismal time of year. Spring is in the air and the Easter holiday brings the hope of getting back to normal living and brighter days to come, which is certainly the message of Easter,” said Derik Kerber, pastor at Revive Church.
“The driveable Easter egg scavenger hunt will be keeping with state mandates on social distancing but participants are encouraged to park and walk the downtown area of Poultney to find the many Easter eggs along Main Street. There will be some surprises along the way, including the Poultney Women’s Club Window of Hope,” Pastor Kerber added.
Starting at 2 p.m. cars will be directed to drive through the Green Mountain College Circle to meet the Easter Bunny himself who will have the maps and clues along with some treats for the children.
“This is a free event open to all area residents. Families are respectfully requested to follow state mandates on masking and social distancing and follow the direction of traffic attendants in order to keep everyone safe and comfortable. Revive Church thanks all area businesses and organizations for helping out and making this a community wide effort,” added Miranda Morey, Revive communications director.
