Hyjek speaks to Ludlow Rotary; Miller Receives Club Award

Justin Hyjek, founding partner of the Homestyle Hotel and Main + Mountain Motel, spoke to the Ludlow Rotary Club (LRC) at its weekly meeting recently about his interest in seeing Ludlow grow. Hyjek is now serving his third term on the Ludlow Select Board (SB).

Hyjek said he was interested in helping the town and its people recover from the impact of the Covid pandemic.

He noted the desire to improve the local skateboard park to modernize it and make it safer, the planned development of hiking trails on West Hill along with its new dog park, and general goals of revitalizing the downtown area as some of the areas of concern.

During the meeting, the LRC also took the opportunity to present to Bob Miller, retiring publisher of the Vermont Journal, its vocational service award for all that he has done for the community through the contributions and support his weekly newspaper made to help the town and its residents.
