On January 15, Sheburne Memorial Library in Killington held a stuffed animal sleepover with animals belonging to local residents. The party started out with story time. About 40 animals gathered around Pooh who read the book on a carpet at the Sherburne Memorial Library in Killington. After that, he ordered dinner and iPie delivered!
After the pizza party, the animals played a quick game of hide and seek in the stacks of books. Some played games, some showed off their jumping skills, some decided to play in the popcorn machine…. and Eeyore challenged Mrs. Knipes to a serious game of chess.
After that, Evan, the library’s big bear, decided it would be fun to go outside and play. Lucky for us, Police Chief Whit Montgomery was driving by and saw what was happening. He stopped them before anyone could get into too much trouble. Once back inside, the animals played a joke and locked the library staff out on the back porch! It was cold! It wasn’t long before the animals discovered book cart races — with the help of Knipes and Montgomery.
After a few runs, it was time to take a break and get a drink of water. By now it was after midnight and we knew it was time to try and get some sleep. So after one more story and a quick snack, everyone lined up for the bathroom. It was a LONG line for the bathroom! And BB Wolf just couldn’t hold it. That’s ok, BB, even big boys can have an accident every now and then.
Everyone FINALLY settled down around 1:30 a.m.
