Rutland Wallingford Catholic community offers guidelines for Christmas Mass

The pandemic has raged on for months and many have lost loved ones. It is a time of great uncertainty, which leads to anguish, anger and heartbreak. Don’t lose sight that something beautiful will happen once again this Dec. 25, a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He came to save us, and to carry us back to God. The pandemic may stop some of the normal celebrations, but it can’t stop the feast itself. Whether or not we join our families and friends for Christmas, Jesus Christ is among us. The coronavirus cannot touch that core teaching.

The Rutland Wallingford Catholic community welcomes you and your family to their Christmas masses. Please be aware of the following policies set forth by the Diocese of Burlington:

The obligation to attend Mass is lifted until this pandemic is over.

Churches will only be filled at 50% capacity.

All congregants over 2-years-old are required to wear masks correctly throughout the entirety of Mass.

You will need to sign-in when you come in the door for possible contact tracing if that is ever needed.

You are asked to make a reservation ahead of time through this website, the parish Facebook page, by calling the Rectory at 773-6820, or emailing rwcatholic@gmail.com. You will receive a ticket which you will need to present the greeter at the door. There will be no entrance without a ticket.

Whether they see you at Christmas Mass or not, please know of their prayers for you, that you stay healthy and that God blesses you.
