New ownership for Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates

Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates, also known as OkemoRealEstate.com which is based in Ludlow, recently announced new ownership for the company. This  63-year-old local realty firm is a long time member of the Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce (OVRCC) and the company new ownership plans to continue that investment and partnership.

Last month, Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates was sold to the new ownership team including Real Estate President/ Managing Broker Suzanne Garvey, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Julie Abraham and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Stephen Messina. The previous owner Patricia “Tricia” Davis also announced her retirement. The incoming owners wanted to thank Tricia for her graciousness during their transition and for entrusting them to keep the company torch lit, pledging to continue the Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates reputation for excellence.  Suzanne Garvey indicated that “we are all excited about moving Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates into the future with fresh ideas and always a nod to our agency’s long history in the Okemo Valley.”  The tenured and talented cadre of existing brokers; Lisa Scully, Andre Menard, Boris Lavanovich, Rene Skinner, and Michael Normyle, along with the professional talented and committed support staff, are all excited and energized to continue as part of the Mary W. Davis Realtor & Associates sales agent team.

To mark the occasion of the new ownership, the OVRCC recently celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new management team at their soon to be expanded, Shaw’s Plaza location in location in Ludlow. Chamber Executive Director Carol Lighthall as well as Suzanne, Julie and Stephen participated in the occasion.

The OVRCC is a not-for-profit, member-driven association and the voice of 300+ businesses and the communities of South Central Vermont. OVRCC includes the towns and villages of Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Londonderry, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Shrewsbury, Weathersfield, and Weston along the VT Scenic Route 100 Byway.  OVRCC provides advocacy, support, and unified regional marketing to promote and enhance businesses in the region as well as the four-season economy.
