Pickle Barrel opens Dec. 19 with live music, a new menu, and Till I Die pop up shop

On Dec. 19, Pickle Barrel will be opening for the season with live music. Tony Lee Thomas will take the stage at 3 p.m. and MB Padfield will perform at 6 p.m., for her first show back in Killington in years. The Karr Group has revamped the Pickle Barrel set up with tables for people to sit and safely watch the show. Reservations are required per state law, and seating will be limited. The Barrel Rider has also gotten a facelift. Plexiglas has been installed in the van for a safe trip to and from the PB. Call 802-422-RIDE for pick up.

The Pickle Barrel will also offer guests a new menu while they watch the show, and has partnered with Till I Die founder Ryan Orabone to add a pop up shop to the Crow’s Nest.

As of Dec. 2, Till I Die ceased operating The Collective out of the Killington Mall, its headquarters since February 2020.

“We are so proud of the success of that site and I want to personally thank everyone who has stopped in over this past year and helped to support local, small businesses and the Collective brands,” said Till I Die founder Ryan Orabone on Facebook.

Till I Die is now actively looking for a new, permanent space.  “If anyone has a lead on a long-term option, on the Access Road, that is 2000+ sq ft, please reach out,” Orabone said.  In the meantime though, Orabone is looking forward to moving operations to the Pickle Barrel for the season.
