PITTSFIELD—Roger Clark Memorial Library in Pittsfield is pleased to announce that it is once again open for browsing, on a limited basis. Patrons can come into the library on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., and on Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Please note that, in accordance with the mandate from the governor, masks are required inside the library. If you cannot wear a mask, please take advantage of their curbside pick-up. Additional health precautions are in place; please visit pittsfieldlibrary.com, or its Facebook page, for complete information before you visit.
Curbside pickup will continue to be offered. As before, call or email with your requests. Books, audiobooks, and DVDs are available for takeout. You can request and pick up library items on Mondays and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., and on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.
How about a scavenger hunt? Take the challenge and win a prize! Each week there will be a scavenger hunt released on the library’s Facebook page. Find each item on the list, take a photo of it, and then post all your photos on the library’s Facebook page. You’ll have one week to complete each hunt. Once verified that you have found all of the items on the list, you will win an ice cream treat from the Swiss Farm Market, right here in Pittsfield! If you don’t do Facebook, call the Library and they’ll make other arrangements. Many thanks to the good folks at the Market!
Coming soon to Pittsfield: a StoryWalk®! This will be an opportunity for Pittsfielders to read a lovely children’s book while walking around outside! The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered trademark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
