Road construction projects scheduled for the week of July 20

Here is a list of road construction projects happening throughout Central Vermont. Please remember to drive safely in all work zones. Lives depend on it.

Rutland and Windsor counties

Bethel – The bridge replacement along VT 12 continues. The traffic pattern will require vehicles to navigate different lanes to get around the work zone. Expect gravel surfaces and some delays.

Cavendish – Weathersfield – A road reclaimation project continues along VT 131. Motorists will encounter multiple areas of one-way alternating traffic. A temporary traffic signal between Lindberg Dr. and Brook Road will result in some delays. Please observe the timing of the signal.

Fair Haven – Line striping along VT 22A this week. Motorists should see little to no delay.

Hartford – A roundabout and sidewalk project is underway along US 5. Traffic continues to operate as one thru lane and one turn lane in each direction, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Motorists may encounter some delays this week as crews work on drainage.

Mount Holly – Beginning Tuesday, 07/21, VT 155 will close for a bridge and culvert replacement over Mill River. The closure will be in place for 28 days, with a signed detour in effect utilizing VT 100 and VT 103. Please plan accordingly.

Norwich – A rail crossing improvement project is underway along River Rd. Motorists may encounter one-way alternating traffic.

Pittsford – Multiple activities for roadway reconstruction along US 7 this week. Motorists will encounter a lane shift, along with speed reductions and brief stoppages of traffic. Expect delays.

Putney – The bridge along US 5 at the intersection of Kimball Hill Rd. is back open this week. Motorists may encounter one-way alternating traffic on the bridge as repair operations continue.

West Rutland – Multiple projects are underway. Sidewalk and median work along VT 4A and VT 133, with signal and shoulder work at the intersection of Business-4 and VT 4A. Motorists can expect one-way alternating traffic near the Price Chopper Plaza, and shoulder closures at the Business-4 – VT 4A intersection. Plan on delays.

Windsor – Hartland – A paving project continues along US 5. Travelers should expect areas of alternating one-way traffic with some delays.
