Bowse Health Trust announces dates for 2020 grant applications

The Bowse Health Trust will start its 2020 grant cycle with letters of intent due on July 15, 2020, according to a news release June 5. Agencies invited to write full proposals will submit them by Oct. 1. Successful letters and projects will have the potential to improve the health status of the Rutland region by addressing the priority areas identified in the 2018 Community Health Needs Assessment.

Priority areas include: housing, childcare and parenting, supporting the aging community, and mental health. For the 2020 cycle, the Bowse HealthTrust has added an additional priority area: Covid-19 Gaps. The trust is interested in letters of intent that address unmet urgent needs as well as health disparities and inequities within our community that the pandemic has highlighted or exacerbated.

The Bowse Health Trust is a program of Rutland Regional Medical Center and funds community-based, collaborative projects, in Rutland County. Grant announcements will be made by Dec. 15, 2020 and grant funds will start on Jan. 1, 2021. All grant guidelines, application information, and the Community Health Needs Assessment are available on the Rutland Regional Medical Center’s website, rrmc.org. For more information email the Bowse Health trust at healthtrust@rrmc.org.
