VINS Nature Center reopens to the public

Monday June 15 at 10 a.m.—QUECHEE—The VINS Nature Center is excited to announce that it will be reopening to the public on Monday, June 15, welcoming guests once again to its outdoor spaces and exhibits, including the Forest Canopy Walk, nature trails through the VINS Nature Center forest, raptor enclosures and songbird exhibit. In order to encourage physical distancing among visitors, the Forest Canopy Walk will be one-way to minimize congestion as visitors enjoy this experience. VINS will be offering snacks and drinks for purchase through the month of June, and appropriately spaced outdoor picnic tables will be available for seating. VINS will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Nature Store will remain closed for the time being, although guests are invited to shop anytime online at
store.vinsweb.org.

Tickets to the VINS Nature Center may be purchased in advance or upon arrival. Masks will be required for entry to the VINS Nature Center, and hand sanitizer will be available throughout the campus.

VINS plans to resume live bird programs on July 13, and to open more portions of the campus at that time, including the Birds Are Dinosaurs exhibit and Forest exhibit, as well as the Adventure Playscape. Public restrooms will be open immediately. Please note that while service dogs are always welcome at the VINS Nature Center, no dogs may be left unattended in the parking lot.

Discounted admissions are offered June 15 – July 12: adults $10; seniors, college students, educators, and veterans $9; and youth $5. VINS also offers $5 pricing for EBT cardholders and patrons of member libraries.

On July 13, regular pricing will resume: adults $17.50; seniors, college students, educators, and veterans $16.50; $5 for patrons of member libraries; youth $15; and free for members and for children 3 and under. All ticket purchases may be applied toward a VINS membership.

The Center for Wild Bird Rehabilitation is open daily for intake of injured or orphaned wild birds. Please email info@vinsweb.org with any inquiries.
