If you remember mathematician Kenneth Mulder from a previous Science Pub, you know this will be a fascinating afternoon. Mulder will explain how Hollywood battles, economies, the evolution of species and emergency evacuation situations have one thing in common: all are complex systems that can be modeled using computers and relatively simple mathematics.
