Resort turns on snow guns after warm weather

After unseasonably warm weather with temperatures in the high 50s and rain last weekend, Killington Resort turned on the snow guns as soon as temperatures dipped on Sunday, Jan. 12.

Killington Resort Marketing Manager David Young said the resort will run snow guns on Killington and Pico through the busy Martin Luther King holiday.

“The grooming team has put in a strong effort too, softening surfaces on most of our open terrain,” Young said. “Luckily, it looks like the weather is going to cooperate too, with a substantial snowstorm predicted for Saturday into Sunday.”
