Sunday, Dec. 15 —RUTLAND—Spreading the spirit of the winter season to the community of Rutland, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra (VSO) returns for its annual Holiday Pops performances on Dec. 15. The VSO will be joined onstage by featured guests: the award-winning student bell-ringers from the United Christian Academy in Newport — the Bronze Ambassadors — and guest conductor Maestro Chelsea Tipton, II of the Symphony of Southwest Texas and the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.
Maestro Tipton, II, known for his natural affinity with young audiences, will bring attendees through a program rich with both fun and timeless holiday tunes. His program ranges from classic to contemporary and quirky, with compositions like Corelli’s “Christmas Concerto,” “Christmas à la Valse,” “Tintinabulations,” and more to round out a night of merry music making.
The Bronze Ambassadors, returning for their second year with the VSO after a cheerful 2017
collaboration, will provide joyful melodies with handbells that audience members are encouraged to sing along with!
The VSO’s Holiday Pops will be at the Paramount Theatre, 30 Center St. in Rutland. For more information visit vso.org/events.
