Police: Avoid unnecessary travel

Police are warning drivers that snow squalls are causing difficult roadway conditions Wednesday night.

Snow squalls in many areas, particularly along Interstate 89 in central Vermont, are causing extremely limited visibility on the roads.  Blowing snow also creates icy conditions.

Motorists are asked to avoid unnecessary travel and to slow down and leave plenty of space between cars.
