Mill River Union High School senior, Samuel J. Groom III received three Congressional nominations from Senator Leahy, Senator Sanders and Representative Welch to the Unites States Navy Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The nomination ceremony was held at the Vermont State House on Dec. 29, to honor the 17 students selected from Vermont high schools who were nominated to the five U.S. service academies and received this great honor.
