September events announced at The Paramount Theatre

RUTLAND—The Paramount Theatre just announced a lineup of events in advance of its annual full-season announcement in mid-July. These five, first-rate events (exclusive only to the month of September) continue the tradition of excellence that theatergoers in central Vermont have come to expect and appreciate from the more than century-old performing art center at 30 Center St. in historic downtown Rutland.

Schedule:

“America’s Got Talent” winners Olate Dogs – Sept. 9 (special 2 p.m. matinee for Grandparents Day)

Five time Grammy Award-Winner, Michael McDonald – Sept. 17 at 7:30 p.m.

Ziggy Marley on his Rebellion Rises Tour – Sept. 18 at 8 p.m.

Legendary vocal group, The Temptations starring Otis Williams – Sept. 23 at 7 p.m.

Renowned music icons, Three Dog Night – Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.

“Continuing the legacy of this historic organizations work on its stage is a pleasure and a commitment that this staff takes very seriously. I believe that this lineup, specific to only one month of the year, is a tremendous testament to The Paramount’s pledge to bring topnotch entertainment to our jewel of a theatre. It is a true snapshot of what will be revealed when we announce the entire 2018/2019 Season in mid-July. Of course none of this could be accomplished without the remarkable support from theatre members, sponsors and this great community we call home,” remarked Eric Mallette, The Paramount Theatre’s programming director.

Tickets for these five shows are available to Paramount Theatre members beginning June 20 with a general public on-sale scheduled for Saturday, June 30 at 10 a.m. For those who are not yet members at the Marx Brothers Circle ($100) or higher, a membership can be bought at any time and the benefit of advance box office opportunity is immediately made available to the supporter. Tickets are available online (members are issued an exclusive “access code” guaranteeing them advance purchase opportunity through June 30), patrons may charge by phone by calling the Box Office or online at paramountvt.org.

These events are in addition to the previously announced shows including Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si & The Sicotics on Aug. 3 and Aaron Lewis on Sept. 6. Also at The Paramount, select FIFA World Cup matches are showing on the big screen (free to the public!) – full schedule available on the website and at the theatre’s Facebook page, Facebook.com/TheParamountTheatre/.

The Paramount Theatre, a registered 501(c)3 not for profit, fully ADA compliant organization including state-of-the-art hearing enhancement devices, is currently in its 18th season of bringing live entertainment to central Vermont.
