Rubber ducks are dropped from the Depot Street bridge at the start of the 2016 race, held annually in Ludlow.
Saturday, Aug. 19, 12 p.m.—LUDLOW— On Saturday, Aug. 19, the Ludlow Rotary Club will hold its 18th annual Ralph D. Hogancamp Memorial Duck Race. Ducks drop at noon from the Depot Street bridge to start their journey toward the finish line of Walker Bridge (near Ludlow Family Health Clinic).
Rent a duck for $5 each, or purchase a quack pack — five ducks for $20. Corporate sponsors are available. Cash prizes will be awarded for the first three ducks to reach to the finish line first as well as for the last duck.
Tickets will be available from any Rotarian or at Ludlow businesses: Peoples United Bank, Benson’s Chevrolet or Ludlow Insurance Agency. For more info, call 802-228-8823.
