Brownsville Christmas Bazaar helps others

Saturday, Dec. 3 at 9 a.m.—BROWNSVILLE—Kick off the holiday season with the famous Brownsville Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 3. The bazaar will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the West Windsor Town Hall (Route 44 and Brownsville Hartland Rd.).  At 11 a.m., the ladies of the United Methodist Women’s group will be offering a delicious lunch including homemade soups and sandwiches as well as Christmas and other home baked cookies. A fine group of artisans and crafters will be selling their wares.

This dedicated group of women has accomplished many things this past year. All of the monetary funds that they raise through seasonal bazaars, craft sales and food events go to various local charities as well as to sustain the greater church community.

Some of the benefactors include the Reading Food Shelf, Vermont Food Bank, Listen Center, Volunteers in Action, Windsor County Partners and local and global relief funds whenever a need arises.

Reverend William (Bill) Sheldon, retired pastor of the Brownsville Community Church, will be signing copies of his new book, “Flap of His Sandals.” This book is both inspiring and entertaining, making it a wonderful Christmas gift for anyone.
