United Way of Rutland County announces leadership change

Jim Kahle will temporarily lead the organization taking over for Nanci Gordon
RUTLAND COUNTY—The United Way of Rutland County (UWRC) announced Tuesday, Oct. 4, that Jim Kahle, Vice Chair of the board of directors, will temporarily lead the organization as interim executive director. Kahle takes over for Nanci Gordon, who served as the organization’s executive director since January 2015, but is no longer employed by UWRC.
Board Chair Carrie Allen stated that the organization is excited to have the 2016/2017 fundraising campaign underway and looks forward to the continued work with our partner agencies; tackling the most important needs in our community in the areas of health, income stability and education.
“It’s business as usual at the United Way of Rutland County,” said Allen in a news release Tuesday. “The campaign team, under the leadership of Collin Fingon, with Jim’s support is working on what we hope will be a very successful fundraising year, raising much needed funds for our friends and neighbors of Rutland County.”
United Way of Rutland County is one of 1,200 United Ways in the United States and one of 1,800 worldwide. Serving Rutland County residents since 1943, the organization is an independent, non-profit dedicated to advancing the common good, focusing on health, education and income stability. UWRC is the largest non-governmental fundraiser for local services in the community.
