Sushi Yoshi in Killington opens year-round

By Polly Lynn
On Friday, Sept. 16, Sushi Yoshi in Killington opened its doors, and this time not just for the season.
“We absolutely did this in response to the great initiatives happening at Killington Resort and the town,” said Nate Freund, co-owner of Sushi Yoshi. “The capital investments they’ve made, plus a lot of blood, sweat and tears, has really made the growth in summer activities exciting this summer. Particularly the investments in the mountain biking both at the resort and the new trails the town has opened.”
Freund said the first weekend open was a success with the Spartan race in town. He anticipates a strong fall season and, hopefully, winter as well. “It’s much easier for us to continue operating than to open and close all the time,” he said. “In the past, we were worried about the viability of doing that, but now are hopeful that we can moving forward… we also want to support our superb staff year-round rather than seasonally.”
Freund said the full Sushi Yoshi menu will be available year-round.
