Minter and Scott to debate 10 times before election

The two major-party gubernatorial nominees are scheduled to meet in 10 more debates before Election Day in November.
Republican Phil Scott’s campaign released a list Tuesday, Aug. 30, of the 11 debates the candidate will participate in before voters go to the polls Nov. 8. Scott’s list includes one debate that happened Aug. 22.
The announcement came one day after Democrat Sue Minter’s campaign issued a statement challenging Scott to 10 debates.
The next 10 debates are:
Sept. 22: Vermont Commission on Women Forum
Sept. 25: Windham County Gubernatorial Forum
Sept. 28: VTDigger Dialogue
Oct. 6: Vermont PBS
Oct. 10: AARP Vermont
Oct. 17: vtTA and Seven Days Gubernatorial Round Table
Oct. 18: WCAX
Oct. 23: Vermont Press Association
Oct. 25: WPTZ
Nov. 3: Vermont Public Radio
Liberty Union candidate Bill “Spaceman” Lee has been invited to many of the events, too.
