Saturday, Sept. 3 at 10 a.m.—QUECHEE— The Vermont Institute of Natural Science is proud to announce the opening of its new Forest Exhibit on Saturday, Sept. 3. The exhibit features a creatively designed giant faux tree accompanied by a winding stairway that leads to a walkway and deck overlooking the rich woodlands surrounding the VINS campus.
VINS’ Forest Exhibit is an immersive experience with the sights, sounds and smells of a natural forest. Discover the common trees of the area and how to identify them. Investigate the amazing diversity of mammals, birds, reptiles and insects that call the forest home. Enjoy interactive exhibits by building with tree cookies, making a leaf rubbing, crawling inside an underground den and exploring all that our indoor and outdoor forests have to offer.
All activities are included with the price of admission, which is $14.50 for adults; $13.50 for seniors, 62 and above; $12.50 for youth, ages 4 to 17; and free for members and for children, 3 and younger. VINS is open daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
VINS is located at 6565 Woodstock Road, Quechee. For further information, visit vinsweb.org or call 802-359-5000.
