Stand Up Shakespeare Company presents a free performance at the Coolidge Site

Saturday, Sept. 3 at 12 p.m.—PLYMOUTH NOTCH—New York City’s professional Stand Up Shakespeare Company will perform “Shakespeare Alive! A Bard-Based Variety Show,” a reverent and irreverent revue that includes comedy, tragedy, and music! They will be giving a free performance on Saturday, Sept. 3 at 12-noon at the Union Christian Church at the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch. Come for the beautiful Elizabethan verse, stay for the hilarious parody prose. It’s a delightful revue of both Shakespeare and Bard-based entertainment for all ages.
The Stand Up Shakespeare troupe is a collection of professional actors that has returned to Killington  annually over the past 16 years to share its talent and expertise in classical theater. Its members have performed Shakespeare both nationally and internationally. They now present a one-hour tour de force, “Shakespeare Alive! A Bard-Based Variety Show.”
The Union Christian Church is located at 43 Messer Hill Road, located on the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site, 3780 Route 100 A, Plymouth Notch. This annual performance is sponsored by the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Foundation which owns and maintains the Union Christian Church, renowned for its perfect acoustics as well as its beauty.
