Sunday, Sept. 3 at 10 a.m.—WOODSTOCK—Billings Farm & Museum, gateway to Vermont’s rural heritage, will host Labor & Leisure Day on Sunday, Sept. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lend a hand building a split-rail fence, working in the heirloom garden, playing historic baseball and
19th century games. Experience the latest in 19th century laundry techniques. There’s even ice cream making with samples for all—after the cranking is done! Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Admission includes all activities and programs, plus the operating dairy farm, farm life exhibits, the restored and furnished 1890 farm house, plus an added bonus: the 30th annual Quilt Exhibition featuring a colorful selection of contemporary Vermont quilts.
