Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m.—WEST RUTLAND—The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center is hosting sculptor Stephanie Robison as artist-in-residence during August 2016. Robison will be creating new work during her residency here and will present her methods and aesthetic in an Artist’s Talk the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m.
Robison works and teaches in the San Francisco Bay area. She has a BFA degree from Marylhurst University and an MFA from the University of Oregon. Her approach to creating sculpture is “based on a continuous searching of the material’s intrinsic qualities and its possibilities for expression,” often contradicting their original forms and structure. Find out more about her at stephanierobison.com.
The Artist’s Talk is free and open to the public. For more information call 802-438-209 or Visit carvingstudio.org.
