Crash: motorcycle vs. moose passengers injured but ok

On July 7 at about 8 a.m. Vermont State Police troopers responded to a motorcycle versus moose collision on Route 2 in Concord, just west of Ladd Road.

When police arrived, Calex Ambulance crews were treating the riders of the 2015 BMW motorcycle after they had hit a moose in the roadway.

Driver Claus Ertel, age 60 from Westfield, N.J., and his passenger, Anna Maria Paget, age 68, were transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The moose had to be euthanized.
