White moose crossing

By Bruce Waterworth

On Wednesday, May 25, Bruce Waterworth, of Pittsfield, saw a white moose on Route 100 in when he was traveling from Stockbridge toward Rochester. The “white” moose was technically a leucistic or piebald moose, not albino, since it is not completely white. It is a very unusual sight. Waterworth said the moose tried to cross the guard rail but got stuck so eventually headed up the bank to the right.
