Thursday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. — RUTLAND — The United Way of Rutland County presents “It’s in the Bag” on Thursday, June 2 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Southside Steakhouse, 170 South Main Street, Rutland. This is a new event featuring a live and silent auction of bags of all kinds, from designer purses to lunch bags to beach totes.
Proceeds from the evening will be dedicated to supporting our educational partners serving local youth, such as Foxcroft Farm Harvest Program, Rutland County Head Start, the Mentor Connector, the Rutland Area Prevention Coalition and Green Mountain Foster Grandparent Program.
The guest auctioneer is Teresa Miele of HR Acquired. She’ll be auctioning off new and like-new bags from Coach, le Tour Eiffel, Kate Spade and Michael Kors, among others. Many more bags for all tastes and budgets will be part of the silent auction, along with gift certificates from local businesses.
