Thursday, May 24 — RUTLAND —Are you concerned about falling? If you or someone you care for is at risk of falling, Rutland Regional will offer a four-part workshop to help. Stand Strong is a fall prevention program that focuses on how we move and ways to improve balance that will help lower risk for falls. The four session workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 7 and 14 and Thursday, June 9 and 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the CVPS/Leahy Community Health Education Center. Instructor Regina Kohlhepp, RN-BC, MS will help attendees understand how normal aging processes contribute to falls, the risk factors associated with falls, and how to create personal plans for fall prevention. Caregivers are welcome to attend.
Cost for all four sessions is $15 and pre-registration is required. Deadline to register is May 24, at RRMC.org or 802-772-2400.
