UVAC swim team raises a record $10,770

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION—This year the Upper Valley Aquatic Club (UVAC) swim team Swim-A-Thon was a recordbreaker. UVAC swim team athletes swam a grand total of 8,959 laps in two hours to raise a record $10,770. With an incredible fundraising effort by UVAC swimmers and families, they crushed the $6,500, goal. The club thanks all who supported and contributed.

The team has donated $973 to the Upper Valley Haven, a local family shelter and assistance organization in Hartford and $538 to the USA Swimming Foundation. The Foundation works to strengthen the sport of swimming. The remainder of the funds will go towards scholarships for UVAC swimmers to cover swim team dues, meet expenses, and fund athlete travel as well as new equipment.
