Rutland Town School to host Universal Pre-K informational night

RUTLAND — On Tuesday, May 3 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., there will be an Act 166 (Universal Pre-K) meeting for parents at Rutland Town School, Post Road, Rutland. This event is sponsored by Rutland Central Supervisory Union and Rutland City School District. If you have a child 3, 4, or 5 not yet enrolled in Kindergarten, and reside in Rutland City, Rutland Town, Proctor or West Rutland, they are eligible to receive 10 hours a week of free pre-Kindergarten Education (pre-K) in a pre-qualified program (school based, registered child care home or licensed early child care center) for 35 weeks during the school year.

Representatives from the Vermont Agency of Education, Rutland Central Supervisory Union, Rutland City School District, and Pre-Qualified Child Care Center Partners, will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. Free childcare and a light dinner will be provided.

Vt turkey brood survey: report sightings July-August
