Bridge Closed on Dorr Drive

Proposed Schedule, Week of  4/11/16  DORR DR. BRIDGE/RIPLEY RD. BRIDGE (Rutland City Bridges BRF3000)

PROJECT LOCATION: RIPLEY RD. BRIDGE [Rutland City Bridges BRF3000(19)]

RIPLEY ROAD IS CLOSED AT THE LOCATION OF THE BRIDGE

PLEASE NOTE THAT PEDESTRIAN AND BICYCLE TRAFFIC IS NOT PERMITTED ACROSS THE BRIDGE DURING THE CLOSURE

Access to all businesses on Ripley Road between Business Route 4 and the bridge will be maintained at all times.

Motorist, bicyclist and pedestrian traffic will not be permitted to cross the bridge beginning Monday, 3/28. Please follow signed detours. The bridge is scheduled to reopen in October 2016.

WATER and SEWER: Crews are scheduled to continue working on water and sewer structures on Ripley Road at the location and approach to the bridge. All businesses along Ripley Road remain open and accessible at all times.

PILES: Crews are scheduled to begin driving test piles on Wed., 4/6/16.  Pile driving will take place throughout the week of 4/11/16.

ABUTMENT 1: Crews are scheduled to begin forming the back wall of the abutment throughout the week of 4/11/16. Concrete pour is scheduled for the following week.

TRAFFIC DELAYS: Please note that the bridge has been closed to through traffic as of Monday, 3/28/16 at 7:00 AM. Please follow signed detours.

RIPLEY ROAD AND ALL BUSINESSES ALONG RIPLEY ROAD REMAIN OPEN AND ACCESSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE CLOSURE via Business Route 4. Otter Valley Supply, Village Car Wash, and the entrance to the Wilk Paving plant will be accessible from Ripley Road.

Drivers are warned to exercise extreme caution on granular surfaced roadways in a work zone. Punctured tires and windshield damage could occur if material flies up from the surface of the road. Maintain a safe distance between vehicles and obey the speed limit.

PROJECT LOCATION: DORR DR. BRIDGE [Rutland City Bridges BRF3000(16)]

There is no work scheduled at the site of the Dorr Bridge throughout the week of 4/11/16.

TRAFFIC DELAYS: There are no anticipated traffic delays or necessary traffic control measures for the week of 4/11/16.
