Sherburne Women’s Club is accepting applications for donation and scholarships

KILLINGTON — Over the years, the Sherburne Women’s Club has funded scholarships and given away over $100,000 to local organizations.    

At this time The Sherburne Women’s Club is accepting requests from local charities or organizations for donations. Requests must be submitted in writing and must be received by the Club no later than April 15, 2016. Any group or organization who would like to be considered for a donation should mail a request to SWC, PO Box 68, Killington VT 05751.

The Club is also currently accepting applications for the $1,000 Community Service Award. This award is presented to a Killington or Pittsfield resident who is a graduating high school senior who has demonstrated impressive service and volunteer work during his/her time in high school. The applicant will be selected based on volunteer work, community service, extracurricular activities, and dedication to others. Instructions and an application for the 2016 Community Service Award can be downloaded from the SWC website www.swcvt.com. All parts of the application must be submitted and postmarked no later than April 15, 2016.
