RUTLAND — The Homeless Prevention Center, a nonprofit committed to providing services to prevent or re-house those experiencing homelessness, has been selected as a beneficiary of the Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag Program for the month of March 2016.
For every blue Hannaford Helps Reusable Bag with the good karma messaging purchased at Hannaford, Green Mountain Shopping Plaza, 318 South Main Street, in Rutland, the Homeless Prevention Center will receive a $1 donation in order to help fulfill its mission of providing services to prevent or re-house those experiencing homelessness by offering hope one person and one family at a time.
“We are extremely grateful to be chosen by Hannaford and would like to take a moment to thank people in advance for purchasing the good karma reusable bags. They can feel good knowing that all donations will help secure safe affordable housing for the families and individuals we work with,” said Homeless Prevention Center Executive Director Deborah Hall.
The Homeless Prevention Center has a goal of raising $2,000 during March 2016 as a beneficiary of the program, which is equivalent to 2,000 bags bought in support of the cause. The Homeless Prevention Center plans to use the projected funds to provided financial assistance in order further carry out its mission of providing services to prevent or re-house those experiencing homelessness by offering hope one person and one family at a time.
